Colour for Emotion

[Purposeful with Colours]

Be careful with the number of colours that you choose. There is no rule but keep i mind that the more colours you choose the more expensive it will be to print. Most effective logo’s out there generally stick to 1-2 main colours. Unless you see companies purposely choose to use “rainbow” colours. It is easier to remember logos that have a specific colour associated with it.

RED – energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

ORANGE – joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

YELLOW –  joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.

GREEN –  growth, harmony, freshness, fertility, and safety.

BLUE –  trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.

PURPLE –  power, nobility, luxury, ambition, wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

BLACK – power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery.
