Hello :)

My name is Miss Shen, screenname “miss ang”. I have been working in the Media Arts industry for the past 7 years and i absolutely love how i can use it as a platform to express my passions in a functional yet artistic form.

I was a double major in Kinesiology & Health Science and Computer Science at York University before I decided to switch over to Interactive Multimedia; an area that allowed me incorporate my passion for art with my interest in computers.

After York University I took a year to explore and reflect on all that I had learned, and what I wanted to be and do next. I started this year driving a mini van and 60 volleyballs all around Ontario teaching volleyball to elementary schools. Then I travelled to Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan. I Had the trip of my lifetime learning, smelling, feeling, seeing, hearing, and just absorbing all these cultures.

When I came home, I worked a quick month long graphic design job that allowed me to make enough money to leave again and go play beach volleyball in California. When I went to California, I brought my laptop and worked on freelance jobs for clients in Toronto. Here was another great perk about working in media arts. You don’t have to be in the same country as your client to do your job and so working on the beach wasn’t even a question.  I like to say if anything, i was more inspired. ;)

When I finally came home I went to Sheridan College for an intense year of Interactive Multimedia. From there I was hired by a company that came to see our class work and I have been there since.

And now I start my next journey with you guys, can’t wait to see what we create.
